So Council Tax Is Not A Scam?

As a lot of you already know that we dig deeply into what has and is going on with the collection of council tax. We have received some proof of the collusion between councils and courts regarding the issuance of what are known as summary warrants in Scotland (these are practically the same as liability orders in England and Wales).
The images below provide physical proof that courts are dealing with applications for summary warrants for non-payment of council tax in bulk and no case is looked at on its own merits.
Whilst the documents below only deal with West Lothian Council, there are ongoing enquiries into how all councils in Scotland and the rest of the UK enforce the obligation to pay council tax and the relationship that those councils have with the courts.
What you will find below must shock you! If it does not then perhaps you should never again visit this wee blog.
The images below were gained by someone that we shall call Amanda during a bankrupcy case via Freedom Of Information requests. She then went on to garner further information using Subject Access Requests under the Data Protection Act 1998. More power to you Amanda.
Here is the first document, tell us what is wrong here?
This warrant is from 2004. Note that the figure stated is for the total amount contained within the warrant! Also note that it is one warrant issued for 6,900 cases and that the warrant is signed!
Please also note that the cost of having the court issue this warrant is £39.00. Now what this council have allegedly been doing is charging the people issued with this warrant £39.00 each in court costs! I don’t know about you but this is a nice little earner and amounts to a profit of £269,100!
Now we have to add the 10% surcharge applied in Scotland when a summary warrant is issued regarding council tax……KERCHINNNNGGGGGGGGG that will be another £364,000 please!
This next one is from 2005:
This warrant affects 6,447 cases for the total amount of £4,165,910. Now, would you say it was legal to issue a warrant for the total amount of over four million pounds? What is the breakdown of who owes what? How much is each case worth?
10% Surcharge, Kerrrrrrching that will be another £416k please!
£39 court fee per case, Kerching another £251k please!
The next one is from 2006 and affects 7,324 cases, you will see that the monetary value on the warrant is no longer in place, I wonder why this happened?
This last one is from 2007 and affects 1,925 cases.
So there we have it, physical proof that councils are making bulk applications for warrants regarding council tax in Scotland.
Scotland is not alone in this scam, it has also been stated that the bulk clearing centre in Northampton is doing exactly the same thing, however I have yet to see any proof of this claim.
